Eighth Month into Twenty Fourteen
Every year on the 31st of December, i silently say to myself: "hope next year brings luck/sense of change".
Hoping has led to August of 2014! Prity fast as my work finished in April, its 4 month going and still no job :(
Vacancy ad-->application-->interview-->__________
Either am dumb or just jinxed , because no self-esteem is fading away.
Apart from career aspect, SPORTS:

Either am dumb or just jinxed , because no self-esteem is fading away.
Apart from career aspect, SPORTS:
- FIFA World Cup 2014 was a bummer especially Brazil being thumbed like a porn star squirting. :-P. Heads up to USA-Clint Dempsey, you cute :-D AND Argentina for making it into the finals. #10 dreamy ;-)
- Super 15, 2014. Crusaders you still my team eventhough could not win in the finals. Hard luck but well played-hats off. #8 & #10 <3
- Local soccer, interest has died..
Oh and this year is training me to excel in house chores and cooking ( haha kinda tough luck on cooking) but it is keeping me busy just until iam in bed and its back to square one, thinking about job, life, future??? Which has led to my weight loss.
To top it off, i can proudly say i have cut down like tons when it comes to alcohol. My liver must be glad..LOL.
Little did i realise, helping friend(s)/relatives, being nice, advising them only makes me (i) the bad person >_< #lessonlearnt
Nevertheless, four months to go before my wish/hope is chanted again. Fingers still cross for something good to happen but please do not tell me its just the way i think?

LIFE - This four letter word has so much to say about oneself.
I just do not know how far i'll go!

FRIENDSHIP...
A person meeting another person, be it by chance or call is fate-"we" name tag it: FRIENDS.And with due time a strong bond that is created after knowing one another, we name that bond: FRIENDSHIP.
This blog will be one of my personal experiences uptil today as i have changed schools, towns, cities, introducing me to people for the first time and bringing a sense of attachment with them when sadly i had to move. :(
But looking at the bright side, i got to call the people i met "my friend(s)", "my best friend(s)" and creating a bond as friendship which i will cherish forever i live :)
And on the sad note iv have come across friends who have forgotten me :( but nevertheless, it is all depending on ones understanding and definition of friendship.
Starting Primary School (Oh i did not attend pre-schl) in 1992-Tavua Primary, i remember very well my class mate Cameron.I recall him as this cheeky, talkative and spikey haired kid. He and i would sit together in class and boy wasn't that fun as we would fight over our stationary being mixed. then fun times with every1 in class as the teacher would let us all nap after lunch hour :D. In the nap time frame, we kids wouldnt actually nap but giggle as it was fun for us at that instant. Unfortunately i do not recall any1 apart from Cameron.
Then my family and i had moved to Ba, my birth town( and before moving to Tavua, we had resided there-Ba). Attended St. Teresas Primary School (and no not the college from Student of the Year :P ). This school has so many memories and i still am in contact with few of my class mates. After i had moved to Suva in Class 4 2nd Term, the batch from St. Teresas that was with me back than had progressed to famous College of Ba-Xavier College, and i met some of those students @ USP, and whole lot more new people of XC in Uni.
One of my besty had migrated to USA after i had moved to Suva and she n i are still in contact-thanks to Facebook :)
Then came MGM Primary. Yet another best days of primary school :D. Class 4 2nd term to Class 6 was just wonderful. Thou it took me few weeks to adjust but i managed quite well the another wonderful thing was my cousin bro and i were in side by side classes. Until he migrated. LOL
But fun filled days of MGM primary school i still recall vividly. Boy arent i glad to have reunited with them in Uni. (Azinta) and surprisingly met with another friend in NZ-which was a total surprise :)
As i had mentioned earlier moving from town to town, cities to cities was what my family and i had to go through. Now we were destined to move to Lautoka. Joined Lautoka Central Primary in the early 2000( Y2K). Iam glad to say that being part of Lautoka Central Primary was another best days as i made heaps of friends and proud to say in contact with them all :). Having met them in Uni/Suva as well. With least thought of moving from Lautoka back to Ba had been on my brother, mum n i's mind, then dad had said we were moving back to Ba. After 5 years of being away from birth town, i suppose my family and i were destined for Ba. LOL
With least of interest starting high school (2nd term-of Form3), i had no choice :P. It took me 2years to properly adjust to the school here in Ba. To be specific of the school, DAV College, Ba. After form 5 i had finally adjusted and realised what-the-heck i should give this school chance as well and not whinge about it. It turned out to be not that bad after all. and 4 and 1/2 years passed by progressing me for Tertiary studies.
USP is the best times of my teenage and kickstart to adult hood days. Having to reunite with friends from MGM Primary, Lautoka Central and making hell bunch of new friends was as challenging and awesum as ever.
The point being of this blog as stated above, Friendship. Iam glad i changed schools as i would not have come across people whom i call friends and best friend(s) and have bonded so much that they are now my family as well. And those whom are not in touch with me for all that has happened and say not willing to remember the "good times", "hard times" with me, i say sad on YOU..More like TRAGIC :as a mate of mine calls things that 1 looses or for situation that one is not able to tackle and realise the importance.
Having change schools after 2 and 1/2 or 3years was not simple and easy as it had affected my life alot. But then as the saying goes "life is not a bed of roses". and change is inevitable :)
Iam glad to have experienced so much in life and i love my friends be it away in overseas. And it does not mean i do not meet my friends every week, day etc..they stil are close to me for all the times we'v spent together thick and thin and iam in contact to know our bond still is strong :)

Young, Smart, and Passionate Local Referee
I would like to dedicate this blog to a special friend of mine: Krishneel Chand. You are an inspiration and mentor :)
Facebook makes us meet so many people, from people you know,or are related too, or some one you have not met before but with time get to know each other and call that person "your friend". And just as this, i met Krishneel aka Kiri. But i call him "ruf tuf"- you will know why further in the blog.
Krishneel hails from the beautiful town of Nadi, and former Korovuto College student. Being the eldest, and coming from an Indo-Fijian background, be it eldest child of two siblings or many siblings, one has alot to prove and attain as the role-model. And i can say by knowing him that he has successfully set a marvellous achievement.
As with time i got to know Krishneel i found out that he is the youngest, 22years old and 1st Indo-Fijian Referee of Fiji :D. I mean it all actually happened for real for Kiri in 2010 when he had gone down to Fiji Rugby Union and after bit of Q&As down at the FRU he was referred to Suva Rugby Union where he underwent fitness test and successfully passed :)
So i personally asked how his passion for referring all started?
Well Krishneel was like when ever he watched rugby and saw the referees running in the field, he would get chills down his spine and just the excitment he got just from the rugby field atmosphere would just be thrilling for him AND now that
Kiri is part of the Refereeing successfully his conscious time and again tells him in the changing room "this is where he belongs..and this what he is(referee)..and this is what he should continue doing" and no doubt that he made the right choice when it came to his passion.!
But in the process of refereeing and managing other aspects of life, it has proven to be a big challenge. When he started off in 2010, he was also student at University of the South Pacific doing Bachelors in Engineering and mind you, it was something he had to juggle to make it work out for him and be where he is now!
He is just a step away to complete his Bachelor's Degree, all thanks to his hard work and perseverance. Hence now while awaiting in getting a job in his qualified field of Engineering, Kiri is working more on his physique so that he can further succeed in Refereeing especially because he wants to be part of IRB team (which i wish him all the very best).
Credit goes out to his mentor, the top on his list: "James Bolabiu" and ofcourse his family especially his parents who have supported him through thick and thin.
Now back to why i call him "ruf tuf", well its simple: everytime iam catching up with Krishneel he updates me about his refereeing and in our conversation it hit me..Not only does he ref but when he goes for his training he also plays rugby, and playing rugby is not easy. One has to endure so much pain, injury. And for Kiri, being slim and in the process of gyming to build up his physique he goes through so much tackles, bumps, falls etc leading to injuries, BUT that does not stop him from getting up and achieving what he has worked so hard for uptil today. So that where i came up with nickname "ruf tuf"-(rough while training and yet being tough).
When it comes to being someone or achieving something in life, it is not always associated with getting a A+ or Masters Degree or getting the position of CEO in a well known company but something that one truly and passionately achieves despite all the hiccups in life. And with regards to achieving: a milestone was created by Kiri, when he was nominated for the "Best Assistant Referee" and "Special Referee" award in November, last year!
So Employers, not only will you have a successful graduate due in time but also a local super star who scooped up award for "Special Referee of the Year 2012"
You are an inspiration to me Ruf Tuf and i wish u all the best in your future endevours.

E-Ticketing: Fiji
Alright so i was watching this radio talk back show that is recorded on Tuesdays but is played on air-FBC TV on Wed nites @ 10:30pm. it is called Aaina (Mirror)..Surprisingly i did not expect this program to actually take my attention as i was in sleep mode and just accompanying mum while she was up waiting for the program to air on television.
N boy was i surprised to note that those who come on the show as guests are not able to answer question(s) that the general public call and ask to be clarified...!
so the topic was Electronic Ticketing, E-Ticketing.. i understand Fiji is a developing country and trying new ways/systems is part of development. But had ever the general public's view been taken in, when coming up with new methods and procedures for something that 3/4 of the people in Fiji use as the main means of transportation???
I really DONT think so!!! Sad indeed. Its just the big people in the offices discuss among themselves and burst it out to the general public which majority have no clue or idea about. So in the talk back show, the vodafone representative goes on what e-ticketing is, how the e-ticketing card functions etc.
It basically is a prepay card that bus users will have to have in order to travel in buses rather than paying cash to the driver upon entering the bus to take one's seat. Reading over the Fiji live website on the article of E-ticketing it is said by LTA official that the E-ticketing card can be used to pay for one persons bus fare when boarding the bus..was not that the case even when one paid CASH?? Secondly, it basically works like any sim card that if the prepay card not being used for a period of consecutive months the card will be deactivated, hence the user has to go down and have the card activated AND than can start using the card as normal. the money in the card does no expire nor does the card itself (just an advantage compared to mobile simcards). And the minimum top up for the e-ticketing card starts @ $5..
Such system has not started in the West yet but as next month approaches it shall be implemented and lets hope the people of West, especially those in the interior get the groove of E-ticketing otherwise its bye bye to bus..
I understand vodafone in collaboration with LTA is making it as easy as possible for the public and every1. But i still believe there are so many individual out there who have no sense or hint on what is coming their way and just 2-3 months of adjusting period is not be enough i suppose!
Electronic device(s) are bound to cause problem at a least expected time and place. So all the best you bus companies/drivers/vodafone and LTA..
Now i await human drivers to be replaced by robots..!!
